The latest range of 100% silk scarves are out! I am totally in love with these bold vibrant designs and colour. With a large gorgeous white hand-painted Lilly in the centre on an inky backdrop, of either Gold, Terracotta or Green, the colour contrasts and vibrancy is exquisite. The design was hand-painted with rich Indian inks, getting beautiful bleeding and watermarks with the background. The delicate white Lilly was hand-painted separately in watercolours and layered digitally. The design was then high resolution scanned and edited and adapted to get the richest colours. Each individual scarf has hand-rolled and sew hems on the finest quality 14mm 100% silk. Having a Limited Quantity of only 10 silk scarves per colour-way. My new Botanical range of 100% silk scarves. 90cm x 90cm hand-rolled and sewn hems in 14mm fine quality silk.
I wanted to create a Botanical range with African elements. One of my favourite birds is the beautiful African wood Hoopoe which I so often see in our garden, on the farm in KZN. I was inspired by its rust colouring and incorporated deep chocolate brown as the backdrop to the vibrant lime creeper vine. Mixed with the Hummingbirds making it a fun combination with a few bugs thrown in too.
The artwork is hand-painted and digitally scanned and printed internationally. These silk scarves are seriously luxurious, soft, and beautiful.
